All too often we rush around and even when we’re not, our mind is whirring a thousand miles an hour!
Learning to slow down has been a priority of mine for the past few years and here are the benefits I’ve noticed in my own life.
- Better Focus – Taking time to reset and recharge helps us to become more aware of our priorities and makes facing our challenges easier.
- Better Sense of Self Worth – Taking time to invest in the things that bring you joy prove to yourself that you’re worth it, and that you are just as important as all the other people you care for.
- Productivity – Spending time doing things we enjoy leads to productivity. It’s amazing how many good ideas pop into my head after a pilates class, when I’m relaxed and more open to being creative.
- Priority Clarity – Being busy is exhausting. When you’ve spent time doing something creative or something mindful we become better able to complete the ‘to do’ list and also have more energy for our family and friends. – The things in life that really matter!
